Privacy Notice
Last updated 29 July 2026
Manush Digitech Pvt. Ltd. operates Proteract, an online taxi management system. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have.
1. Who we are
Manush Digitech Pvt. Ltd. (trading as Proteract) is the data controller for personal data about account holders and website visitors. Where you use Proteract to manage your own passengers and drivers, you are the controller of that operational data and we act as your processor, handling it only to provide the service.
2. Data we collect and why
- Account data — name, email address, company name and login credentials, used to create and secure your workspace and to authenticate you. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Workspace roles and invitations — email addresses and assigned roles of dispatchers, admins and drivers you invite, used to give them access. Legal basis: contract performance and our legitimate interest in operating multi-user workspaces.
- Operational content you enter — booking records, passenger names and contact details, pickup and drop-off addresses, driver and vehicle records including licence and compliance dates, fare rules and notes. Processed on your instructions to provide the service.
- Usage and activity data — audit log entries (who created, changed or cancelled a record and when), device identifiers, IP address and diagnostic logs, used for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
- Support messages — the content of emails and support requests, used to answer you. Legal basis: contract performance and legitimate interests.
- Marketing — where you opt in, your email address to send product updates. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.
3. Address lookup and routing
When you type a pickup or drop-off address, that text and the resulting coordinates are sent to third-party mapping services (OpenStreetMap Nominatim for address suggestions and OSRM for distance and duration estimates) so we can auto-measure the trip and quote a fare. Do not enter more personal detail into address fields than the journey requires.
4. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors — cloud hosting and database providers, email delivery, mapping and routing services, and error monitoring, all under contract and only to run the service.
- Paddle (Merchant of Record) — Paddle.com processes checkout, sells our subscriptions as our online reseller, manages payments, subscription changes, tax compliance and invoicing, and handles refunds and billing inquiries. It handles payment data directly; we do not receive or store card details.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law or to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Retention
We keep account and workspace data for as long as your subscription is active. After cancellation, workspace data is retained for 30 days so you can export it, then deleted or anonymised. Audit logs and records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons are retained for the period required by law, then deleted.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, hashed credentials, row-level database isolation between company workspaces, role-based permissions enforced server-side, and restricted internal access.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. Contact us at support@proteract.app and we will respond within one month.
9. Cookies
Proteract uses strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember workspace preferences; these cannot be switched off without breaking the app. If we add analytics or marketing cookies we will ask for consent first and let you change your preferences at any time. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this notice; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Questions or requests: support@proteract.app.
